Compound Overview

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK). It has been extensively studied in vitro for its role in tissue remodelling, collagen and elastin synthesis, and gene-expression modulation. This 50mg research-grade vial provides lyophilized GHK-Cu at ≥99% purity, independently verified by Testides (Toronto).

Plasma GHK concentration declines markedly with age, which is the reason most of the published work frames GHK-Cu as a repair and remodelling signal rather than a growth factor.

Research Context & Mechanism+

GHK-Cu stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis, attracts immune and repair cells to sites of injury, and acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. In published cell-culture research it has been reported to modulate the expression of numerous genes. Foundational research includes Pickart & Margolina (International Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2018, PMID: 29986520) reviewing regenerative and protective actions, and Pickart & Margolina (BioMed Research International, 2015, PMID: 26236730) on GHK copper-peptide activity.

Researchers commonly study GHK-Cu alongside compounds like BPC-157 and MOTS-C.
